Coromandel and brass edged Gentleman's Vanity Boxwith ornate carry handles on each side, bold lock escutcheons and circular engraved initial plate with the monogram 'CSL'

Opening the box reveals a ruched velvet backed lid which can be release and folded down to allow access to a hidden letter compartment with beautiful gold tooling. Behind which is a removable free standing mirror with matching gold tooling around its frame.

The box itself contains eleven engraved silver lid glass jars, by London Silversmith Brownett & Rose, surrounding a fully fitted tool-pad which contains various mother of pearl tools including prickers, sewing hooks, file, tweezers, scissors. Underneath this pad is a silk paper lined storage space.

The drawer at the front of the box contains four wooden brushes each in excellent condition.
