Antique Brass Bound Jewellery Box veneered in beautifully figured Rosewood, by Frederick Ludwig Hausburg.

With bold brass strapping, corner brackets vacant initial plate and escutcheon. Lifting the lid reveals a brass strung edge with hinge supports. The underside of the lid has a ruched velvet backing. Moving the brass clasp allows this to be folded down revealing a leather stationery compartment which has a gold-tooled makers label that reads: “F.L.Hausburg 24 Church St. Liverpool.”

This box features a three-tier jewellery compartment comprising two removable padded trays with red leather-lined compartments underneath.

This box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
