Sterling Silver Feathered walnut, Ebony bound, Vanity Box.

The sterling silver vanity box has been veneered in walnut and enhanced using a feather and ink to paint and intensify the grain. The interior is fitted with ten beautifully engraved sterling silver glass jars by Thomas Whitehouse 1876, and a complete accoutrements pad. On the back edge of the open box is a brass button which, when pushed, reveals a sprung loaded jewellery drawer. In the lid there is a secret letter compartment and reversible mirror which is accessed by pressing a secret button under the lock keep.

This vanity box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key.
