Rare an magnificent inlaid satinwood sarcophagus shaped tea caddy with ebonised edging, standing on four brass ball feet with two lions head carry handles. With fine exquisite decorative inlays on all sides including a lyre on the top.

The interior of this satinwood tea caddy shows yet more impressive cabinet work with the inlays and vibrant colours kept from the light like the day it was made, this can be seen with the superb Conch shell in the lid of the tea caddy. The two compartments lids turned bone handles and still contain traces of their original lining.
The underside of the main lid has a beautiful conch shell inlay.
