Exquisite and unusual bow fronted tea caddy veneered with diamond segments of floral engraved mother of pearl, with a beautiful figured tortoiseshell plinth and matching tortoiseshell surrounding the canted lid. The tea caddy stands on four turned Tagua nut bun feet. The top & front have silvered escutcheon and initial plate which is engraved with: “Flo”.

The interior of this wonderful mother of pearl engraved tea caddy features two compartments with matching mother of pearl lids and turned Tagua nut handles. Each compartment contains traces of its original foil lining.

This beautiful elegant antique tea caddy comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key. The key must be turned clockwise to unlock.
