From our Tea Caddy collection, we are delighted to introduce to the market this rare Ivory Tea Caddy featuring Historical Figures. The Tea Caddy of decagonal shape veneered to the exterior in ivory and edged in horn features a tent top with silver loop handle and diamond escutcheon. Each face of the exterior is beautifully engraved with historical and influential figures, decoration and motifs including poet Pierre de Ronsard,  Jean-Antoine de Baif and Pope Sixtus V. The rear of the Tea Caddy features a panel with a George and the Dragon motif having a knight in full armour on horseback with the following panel featuring a dragon. The Tea Caddy dates to the Georgian period and the late 18th century during the reign of George III circa 1790.
