Description

Sewing box veneered in Birdseye Maple with an inlaid rosewood floral pattern and Mother of pearl escutcheon.

The interior is lined in its original purple silk and paper. The inside of the lid is lined in a ruched silk and folds forward to reveal a letter compartment.

The main section features several compartments, turned mother of pearl spools, silver thimbles, needle cases and a removable padded tool kit with mother of pearl handles. This main section lifts out to reveal a large storage compartment underneath.
