I think this could well be the first newsletter of the year where we are neither going to nor coming back from an exhibition, with that being said we are thoroughly enjoying the sunshine we have been having whilst ensuring our boxes and tea caddies stay cool from the soaring temperatures! Over the next few months here at Mark Goodger Antiques we are working towards our 25th year in business with Mark at the helm celebrating his personal 35th year in the trade. We have some exciting plans in the pipeline and all will be revealed in due course.
In the meantime, we are plugging our website in every area possible and shifting our current momentum to online sales. We have been uploading at a rate of knots (pun intended) and are seeing good results across the board whilst being able to consistently provide to our regular clients.

At Mark Goodger Antiques we aren’t only a leading Tea Caddy and Box specialist, we also offer a wide selection of Barware and Decanter Sets spanning from the Late Victorian period right through to Mid-century modern. Offering objects from leading retailers such as Asprey, Betjemann and Christofle. We are always updating our Barware stock and currently have a large selection of Decanters, Cocktail Shakers and Wine Coolers perfect for those summer parties or warm summer evenings to keep that bubbly chilled. Novelty British Bulldog Ice Bucket
This fabulous novelty ice bucket dates to the Art Deco period with a Silver-Plated exterior and a huge amount of attitude. The Ice Bucket is sure to bring a smile to your home bar collection with the fantastically cast British Bulldog lid. Not only is it a great novelty piece but it has a great practical use with a hidden Ice Bucket below the Bulldogs’ removable head.
You have the ice, now time for some liquor! This Classic Stable is a must for any fans of the Automotive industry, the Jaguar SS decanter above is by Classic Stable with a signed label and Registration number JGS B116. It features the more uncommon leaping Jaguar above the blue enamelled SS badge dating to the 1960s.
Finally, we have added this spectacular four piece Coromandel decanter box complete with the original gilded circular tray and four glasses. The box is veneered to the exterior in exotic Coromandel with fine brass fittings housing four glass decanters with faceted stoppers. We firmly attribute the box to renowned box manufacturers Betjemann & Sons with probable retailers Mappin & Webb of London, please see our sold archives for a near identical one labelled Mappin & Webb.
